for Spanish Teachers

The Center for Latin American Studies and the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at The Ohio State University announce this year's intensive Summer Seminars Abroad, a 16-day workshop in Spanish linguistics in Lima, Peru. The purpose of the program is to provide selected students with an opportunity to analyze and practice the Spanish language in a natural linguistic and cultural context, and to receive university credit for that experience. Summer Seminar in Spain

Attention Spanish Teachers

Iowa State University is offering an exciting opportunity for elementary and high school Spanish teachers. Our two week "Summer Seminar in Spain for Spanish Teachers" will be offered June 14-28, 2013, in Cáceres, Spain, and will give you the opportunity to earn two graduate credits in Spanish!

The course, Spanish 590C, is specially-designed for Spanish teachers. The course includes conversation, culture, Spain in the 21st century, Spanish history, and problems in teaching Spanish. The class will also learn about the education system in Spain as well as visit local schools in Cáceres. All classes will be taught by staff from the University of Extremadura. Students will participate in conversation groups with area residents when possible.
