Information: The Nominating Committee consists of the Immediate Past President, who serves as Chairperson, and at least two (2) other Professional Members of the Association.

The Nominating Committee presents a slate of candidates for office to the President by January 15 before the beginning of the Annual Conference. The slate shall include nominations for the offices of Executive Vice President and such other offices that are to be filled in that year in accordance with Article V, paragraph 4 of the By-Laws.

The Ohio Foreign Language Association is committed to world language study beginning in the primary grades, so that every learner, from early childhood through adult, acquires a high level of communicative and intercultural competence.

The OFLA Strategic Plan

1. Establish clear expectations for foreign language learners.

2. Build the capacity of foreign language teachers to prepare learners to demonstrate their proficiency.

3. Build support for foreign language instruction among parents, policy leaders, the business community and opinion leaders in the media.
